Reader Analytics refund policy

If reader analytics isn't what you hoped it would be, tell us within 7 days of creating your first report and we'll refund every credit you've bought since you signed up. All we ask is a quick video call so we can hear what went wrong.

This policy covers reports bought by authors through our website and commercial partners. Publisher engagements are arranged through our sales team, and their refund terms are set out in the agreement we send with the contract.

How it works

  1. Email us at hello@narrativemuse.com within 7 days of creating your first report. You don't need to give a reason.
  2. We'll send you a link to book a quick call with someone on our team, at a time that suits you.
  3. After the call, we refund you in full, every report credit purchased between signing up and getting in touch, used or unused. We refund the amount you actually paid for those credits, so if you bought at a promotional or agreed rate, that's the amount that comes back. The money goes to your original payment method, usually within 5-10 business days.

You keep any reports you've already run.

Why we ask for the call

We're a small team building something new. The authors who feel let down by a report teach us more than a hundred happy ones do: what you expected, what you got, where the gap was, what you'd have done with the data if it had landed differently.

So the call isn't a hoop, and it isn't a save-the-sale pitch. We won't try to talk you out of the refund. We'll ask questions and listen.

The details

The 7 days run from when you create your first report. Your request needs to reach us inside that window; the call itself can happen whenever works for you.

If you can't make the call, just tell us and we'll reschedule once. If a call doesn't end up happening at all, we can't process the refund, the conversation is the whole basis of this policy.

The call is for us, not for anyone else. We may record it so the team can watch it back. We'll ask first, and nothing you say gets used publicly or in our marketing without your explicit permission.

Credits bought after your first week aren't covered by this policy. By then you've seen what a report looks like and you're buying with your eyes open.

If something actually goes wrong (a report doesn't generate, the data looks broken, the territories are wrong) that's not a refund question, it's a fix. Email us and we'll sort it. If we can't, we'll refund you, no 7-day window and no call required.

Refunds are issued in the currency you paid in. Depending on your bank's exchange rates, the amount landing in your account may differ slightly from the amount charged.

The refund terms for publisher engagements are in the agreement emailed to you during the sales process. If you can't find it, get in touch with your contact on our team and we'll resend it.

This policy sits alongside your rights under consumer law in your country, it doesn't replace or limit them. For everything else, see our terms and conditions.
